Putnam County Sheriff Made Eight Narcotics Arrests In January

The Narcotics Enforcement Unit made several arrests last month for the sale of cocaine and LSD.

Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr. reports that during the month of January 2021, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit made a total of eight arrests.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit, made three arrests for criminal Sale of a controlled substance which involved the sale of Cocaine in the Town of Carmel, Heroin in the Town of Kent, MDMA and LSD in the Town of Philipstown. Additionally, there was an arrest for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree in the Town of Kent. The NEU also arrested four individuals on arrest warrants.

As with many of these operations, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department continues to work closely with multiple agencies, such as the DEA, Homeland Security Investigations, New York State Police, Westchester County Police Department, City of Peekskill Police Department, Town of Kent Police Department, Town of Carmel Police Department, City of Yonkers Police Department, Town of Yorktown Police Department, City of Poughkeepsie Police Department, the Putnam County District Attorney’s Office and other Federal, State and local police agencies to extend our cases throughout multiple jurisdictions. The combined efforts of all these agencies are making our communities safer for all our families.
