Putnam Sheriff's Deputies Make 5 Drug Arrests In 3 Busts

It all went down in less than 24 hours.

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — Putnam Sheriff's deputies and the department's narcotics enforcement unit executed several search warrants and made several arrests during a busy 24-hour period.

First, just after midnight March 24, deputies working with Carmel town police on heroin sales in Mahopac arrested Vincent Pascuicco. They found drugs and packaging materials in his home. Pasciucco was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, and two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree.

Eighteen hours later, in Southeast, members of the NEU conducted a traffic stop of a stolen vehicle. Two people in the car were found in possession of methamphetamine, police said. They were charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle in Third Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.

Then, at about 8 p.m., members of the NEU executed a search warrant on an apartment in Patterson and found suspected fentanyl and drug packaging materials.

The NEU had begun an investigation into drug sales at the residence in early March after receiving complaints from the community about drug dealing from there. Members of the NEU conducted controlled buys of fentanyl, marketed as heroin, from people who lived there.

Arrested were Robert Torzilli, who was charged with two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, and Randi Cascino, who was charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.
