Restaurant Week Morphs Into 'Time To Dine' In Brewster
Hudson Valley Restaurant Week got canceled, but here's something to take its place around Southeast and Brewster.
BREWSTER, NY — Nearly 200 eateries that would have participated in Hudson Valley Restaurant Week this past spring will be taking part in a new event Aug. 17-30 called Time to Dine.
Restaurants in Putnam County will be offering the region's residents the chance to help support them as they work to reopen after New York's new coronavirus crisis.
Restaurant Week for spring 2020 was canceled in mid-March as the outbreak began to expand. The state shut down bars and restaurants March 16.

Now with the region in the fourth phase of the state's reopening, restaurants need patronage, said Mike Martinelli of "The Valley Table."
"Consumer confidence is low right now, and some people are hesitant to venture out," he said in an announcement about Time to Dine, which gives patrons the opportunity to dine in or take out.
