Save Our Children: Candlelight Vigil Presidents Day In Putnam

Several Putnam and northern Westchester groups are mourning Florida and all school shootings.

CARMEL, NY — Putnam and northern Westchester residents will hold a candlelight vigil on the steps of the historic Putnam County Courthouse from 5-6 p.m. on Presidents Day.

WHERE: 44 Gleneida Ave., Carmel, NY 10512.

Speakers will be asking why more isn't being done to "SAVE OUR CHILDREN" or "Stop Gun Violence." The vigil is being held outside State Sen. Terrence Murphy's Putnam office because he wants to weaken New York gun laws, said a spokesman for Robert Kesten, who is running against Murphy for the 40th District seat.
