Southeast Resident Accused Of Domestic Violence: Police

New York State police arrested him after an investigation.

SOUTHEAST, NY — New York State troopers from the Brewster barracks arrested James Buser, 46, of Southeast, NY after an incident of domestic violence from August was reported to police.

Buser faces charges of Strangulation in the 2nd degree, a class D felony, and Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree, a class A misdemeanor.

State police said their investigation uncovered several past domestic incidents in which Buser choked the victim in 2019 and broke the victim’s television in 2020.

Buser was arraigned before the town of Patterson Court and released on his own recognizance.
