HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Even though the pandemic rages on, you can make winter 2021 a little brighter armed with nothing more than paper, pens and maybe a glue stick.

Join the more than 100 people and groups across the region working on the annual "Valentines for Veterans" project.

“The Valentines for Veterans program is just one more way we can show our appreciation for the brave men and women who fought for our country and honor their service,” said Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney. "I encourage every New Yorker here in the Hudson Valley to take the time to thank our veterans this year.”

Now in its seventh year, Maloney’s Valentines for Veterans program is embraced by students, families, individuals, and businesses who relish the opportunity to send Valentine’s Day greetings to veterans in the community.

Last year, volunteers made more than 7,800 valentines. They went to homes and local veterans’ service agencies in addition to veterans who live at Castle Point.
