Troopers Stop Mercedes, Find Stolen Gun: New York State Police
A New York City man faces weapon and stolen property charges in Southeast.
SOUTHEAST, NY — New York State police stopped a Mercedes on I-84 for vehicle and traffic violations Saturday, and now a New York City man faces weapon and stolen property charges.
At 3:55 p.m., troopers stopped the 2012 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG in the interstate in the town of Southeast. The operator, Victor Jimenez, was in possession of a loaded 9mm Taurus semi-automatic handgun, police allege.
Further investigation revealed the gun was reported stolen out of Chesterfield County, Virginia.

Victor M. Jimenez, 26, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree, a class C felony, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th degree, a class E felony.
Jimenez was arraigned before the town of Southeast Court, and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond. His next scheduled appearance is scheduled for Oct. 13.
