Water Leak to Shut Down Part of Prospect Street in Brewster Thursday

Water will also be shut off for a couple of hours around the neighborhood.

BREWSTER, NY — Crews fixing a water leak under Prospect Street will be shutting down the road and the water main on Thursday.

Access to the street can be made from Wells Street or Eastview Avenue. No through traffic will be allowed, said Village Clerk Peter Brewster Hansen.

They'll be working in front of 27 Prospect Street to repair a water leak located under the road. Water main shutdown will be necessary to complete the excavation, expose the water line and make repairs.
