Brooklyn Flea, Smorgasburg Hibernating At Industry City In Winter

The popular flea and food market is closing down in SoHo and heading to Sunset Park digs for the winter.

SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN — Brooklyn Flea and its popular food spinoff Smorgasburg are winding down their stay in SoHo with plans to pack up and head indoors at Industry City in Sunset Park for the winter.

Brooklyn Flea, currently at 100 Avenue of the Americas, and "Smorg Square," at Varick and Canal streets, will be open for the last time this weekend, with Sunday, Nov. 19, being the last day there.

They'll open up the next weekend for a "Winter Flea + Holiday Market" at and indoor space in Industry City, located on 37th Street between Second and Third avenues.

"Find 50 vendors from Brooklyn Flea plus 10 Smorgasburg vendors every Saturday + Sunday, 10am-6pm," an announcement from Brooklyn Flea says. "We'll also have a bar serving beer, wine, and cocktails to make holiday shopping a little more enjoyable!"

Smorgasburg is also taking applications for food vendors. Anyone interested can apply here.
