Coffee Shop And City Warehouse Lease Space In Industry City

The city and Gumption Coffee both signed leases to take over space at Industry City, the Commerical Observer reported.

SUNSET PARK, NY — A warehouse for city records and an Australia based coffee shop both recently signed leases to take over space at Sunset Park's Industry City, the Commercial Observer reported.

Gumption Coffee plans to take over 6,000-square-feet at the ground level of Building 19 at the site, 148 39th St., for their first location outside of Australia, the Commercial Observer reported.

They plan to open their doors on September and have space for a roastery and a cafe with breakfast and lunch, the paper reported.

Along with Gumption Coffee, the city's Department of Records and Information Services (DORIS) also signed a 20-year lease to expand their warehouse inside Industry City, according to the Commercial Observer.

DORIS will keep about 35,251-square-feet of space where their current warehouse is in Building 19 and an additional 97,563-square-feet inside the connected Building 20 at 167 41st St., the paper reported.
