Fake FedEx Man Ties Up, Robs Brooklyn Family In Disturbing Video
A home surveillance camera caught men posing as FedEx workers taking more than $130,000 from a family in their house.
BAY RIDGE, BROOKLYN — A terrifying video circulating online shows a home invasion where two men posing as FedEx workers tied up a Brooklyn family and stole more than $100,000, according to police and the video.
The men, one of whom was wearing a FedEx jacket, forced their way into a house near Ovington and Sixth avenues around 3 p.m. Monday and used duct tape to bound a 36-year-old woman, a 75-year-old woman and an 81-year-old man inside, police said.
The man wearing the jacket had come up to the door just moments before with a package and was followed by the second thief, who rushed inside with a blue shirt and backpack on, the video shows.

"Open it!" the man with the backpack demands, bringing what appears to be a safe to the younger woman.
The woman unlocks the safe while the other FedEx impersonator tapes the man's mouth. After it's open, the second man drags the safe into the other room, video shows.

An NYPD spokesperson said the amount of money and jewelry the thieves stole wasn't available in the report, but other police sources told the New York Post that the men got away with $50,000 in cash and $80,000 in jewelry.

At the end of the video, which lasts only about four minutes, the man in the FedEx jacket can be seen on a radio talking to somebody else in Spanish.
Police said a third accomplice came to pick up the two men in a blue car and drove away on Sixth Avenue.
After they leave, the family sits frozen, appearing to wait until the men drive away. The younger woman then hops, her feet bound, over to the door before jumping toward the back room.
According to the Reddit post, the home video was shared on the Chinese messaging app WeChat.
Police are still looking for all three people involved in the heist. They said the two men who came into the house appear to be in their 30s or 40s and didn't have a description for the third person.
None of the family members were injured during the robbery, police said.
