Fire Burns Through Sunset Park Construction Supply Company (Updates)

No injuries were reported as a result of the blaze, the FDNY said.

SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN — A fire burned through Tony's Construction Supplies Corp. in Sunset Park on Wednesday night, the FDNY said. A call came in at 8:26 p.m. reporting the blaze at 625 39th St. About 106 firefighters responded, and brought the fire under control by 9:40 p.m., the FDNY said.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, according to the FDNY. The cause of the blaze is under investigation. Fire fighters will still on the scene Thursday afternoon, and staffers from the building were on the roof, examining damage. The interior of the businesses' warehouse, which holds a variety of building supplies, showed significant damage, though it wasn't immediately clear if it had been caused by the fire.

Inside the businesses' office, a women who identified herself as the wife of the owner said she didn't know what had started the fire. The owner did not return a note left for comment.
