Man Found Dead In Gowanus Bay Near Sunset Park: Cops

SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN — A man was found dead in the Gowanus Bay on Wednesday morning near the shore in Sunset Park, police said.

A 911 caller told Police just after 10:30 a.m. that there appeared to be an unconscious man in the water near 28th Street and Second Avenue. When FDNY crews got there, they found the man and took him to the shore at 28th Street, police said.

Emergency medical responders pronounced the man dead. The man was not yet identified by police, who said they are still investigating the man's death.

The New York City Medical Examiner will determine his cause of death, police said.
