Crash On Fourth Avenue In Sunset Park Sends 2 To Hospital: FDNY
Emergency responders rushed to Fourth Avenue and 54th Street Monday after a person was hit by a car involved in a crash, officials said.
SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN — Two people were sent to the hospital Monday afternoon after a crash on Fourth Avenue, the FDNY said.
Emergency responders rushed to Fourth Avenue and 54th Street just before 2:30 p.m. after getting a call that a pedestrian had been hit at the intersection, an FDNY spokesperson said.
Police said a person was hit by a car involved in a multiple-car accident.

One person who was hurt in the crash was taken to the hospital by a private ambulance and emergency responders took a second person to the hospital, the spokesperson said. The person taken by FDNY had serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police and FDNY did not have information about whether the people sent to the hospital were in one of the cars that got into a crash or were hit by the cars.

Video from the street shows two cars stopped in a blocked-off area of the intersection, one with damage to its front and another bent in on its side.
