Sunset Park Chinese Restaurant Closed For Mice, Health Violations
Palacio Chino on 5th Avenue was closed down by health inspectors this week, records show.

SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN — A Chinese restaurant in Sunset Park has been closed down by the health department after an inspection this week.
Records with the city's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene show that Palacio Chino on 5th Avenue received 40 violation points during an inspection on Tuesday. Any score over 28 requires that the department shut a restaurant down.
Inspectors found evidence of mice or live mice in the restaurant and that it was not vermin-proof, the records show. They also discovered that food contact surfaces had not been properly washed and that non-food contact surfaces were improperly constructed, made with unacceptable materials and improperly maintained.
