You Can Play Soccer On A Whale In Sunset Park

A massive soccer arena is opening this week on the roof of Sunset Park's Whale Building.

SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN -- A massive soccer facility will open on the roof of the Whale Building in Sunset Park on Thursday.

Socceroof will open 10 playing fields — each named after a different Brooklyn neighborhood — in the former torpedo factory at 14 53rd St. on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m., organizers announced.

The fields are available to rent for single games, league competitions, kids' birthday parties and prices range between $110 and $400 for one 60-minute game, depending on the number of players and whether or not those players want birthday cake.
