City Of Syracuse Offers Tick Bite Prevention Workshops

The City of Syracuse is offering Tick Bite Prevention Workshops, presented by CCE Onondaga staff, at various locations throughout the city during the upcoming months. These workshops will prepare you to protect your family all year long.

Learn tick identification, tick habitat, appropriate personal protection and habitat modification measure to take to reduce the risk of tick bites. If you are bitten, you will know the appropriate way to remove the tick. Each household in attendance will receive microtweezers for removing ticks according to CDC guidelines.
Upcoming workshops:* February 26, 2020, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Magnarelli Community Senior Center, located at 2800 Grant Blvd., 13208.* April 29, 2020, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at Nottingham High School, located at 3100 E. Genesee Street, 13224.* May 6, 2020, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., at All Saints School, located at 112 S. Wilbur Ave, 13204.
