Solar Street Improvement Project Construction Set To Begin On June 29 In Syracuse

The project consists of milling and paving Solar Street, from Hiawatha Boulevard to the intersection of Bear Street.

The City of Syracuse is scheduled to start construction for the Solar Street Improvement Project on Tuesday, June 29. The project consists of milling and paving Solar Street, from Hiawatha Boulevard to the intersection of Bear Street. New sidewalks, curb replacements, Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramp reconstruction and new pavement markings will also be included in the project.

Construction will be phased and the intent is to maintain traffic. When necessary, additional notices will be issued as construction progresses. The City is advising the public to expect delays, especially during peak hours, and to use alternate routes if possible. Construction is anticipated to be complete by late October 2021.
