February 11, 2020 was "Make a New Friend Day" so Onondaga Center, the 80-bed nursing and rehabilitation center on East Avenue in Minoa welcomed residents and staff from Brookdale East Side, the 80-senior apartment "assistive" living facility located on East Genessee Street in Fayetteville.

It was thoughtful and heartfelt to see when Brookdale staff and residents handed out red and pink carnations to the residents.

"This was such a great day to see residents from one building embrace residents from another," said Belinda "Sue" D'Onofrio-Ansaldo, Recreation Director at Onondaga Center. "This is what Make a New Friend Day is all about. The start of new friendships."
