Syracuse Water Crews Working To Repair Water Main Breaks

The City of Syracuse Department of Water has deployed staff to repair separate water main breaks.

The City of Syracuse Department of Water has deployed staff to repair separate water main breaks which will impact water service and traffic near the 500 block of Hiawatha Boulevard; the 700 block of Erie Boulevard W.; and the 100 block of Vann Street. Each area where work is being done will experience water shut offs until approximately 7 p.m.

Water crews will close the following streets to all traffic for the duration of the repair work:

  • Hiawatha Boulevard, from 2nd North Street to Spring Street;
  • Erie Boulevard W., from N. Geddes Street to Leavenworth Avenue; and
  • Vann Street, from Teall Avenue to Dillaye Avenue.

Residents and businesses in need of emergency water resources during the shutoff period can call 211.
