Syracuse Water Department Crews Working To Repair Water Main Break At Burnet Avenue And Vine Street

The City of Syracuse Department of Water is working to repair a water main break at Burnet Avenue and Vine Street, impacting water service in the surrounding area. Residents on Sherwood Avenue, between Hawley Avenue and Burnet Avenue are expected to be without water until approximately 10 p.m. Low water pressure can be expected for residents in the upper Eastwood section until the repair is complete.

Burnet Avenue, between Sherwood Avenue and Vine Street, will be closed to all traffic. Detour signs will be in place to redirect traffic. Residents in need of emergency water resources during the shutoff period can call 211.
