Hudson Valley Rising Writers Summer Camp

Is your child interested in writing? Or maybe waiting to be inspired to write? The Hudson Valley Writers Center, in collaboration with Tarrytown Arts Camp, is hosting a creative writing camp for children entering grades 6-8, which will teach them the foundations of creative writing (poetry and prose), expose them to works by contemporary young writers, and have them working with their peers to improve their work! Through generative writing exercises and activities, students will be working toward producing a final portfolio of their own original poetry and prose. This four-class intensive camp culminates in a reading of the students' work, and is open to both family and friends.

Dates: July 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th, from 1:00PM to 4:00PM

Price: $150 for residents of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow, $175 for outside participants. Scholarships are available by request.
