Addressing Reassessment Process In Tarrytown
The town of Greenburgh controls the process for changing the tentative assessment of property.
GREENBURGH, NY — The town of Greenburgh has sent out information to homeowners regarding the 2021 reassessment and how it impacts home and property tax bills.
Village officials said assessments since 2016 were determined to be outdated, which is way the town took over the process. The revaluation project started in June 2020 and will continue through September 2021

The town of Greenburgh controls the process for changing one's tentative assessment.
The first deadline is Friday, April 23 for setting up a time for an informal review with the town's contractor which is doing the updates to the assessment roles — Tyler Technologies. You can call them at 914-231-8250 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to set up a phone meeting. It is advisable to review the information contained in the letter you were sent in order to better inform yourself about the process.

Another option is to call the Greenburgh Assessor's Office at 914-989-1520 during normal business hours to ask questions and possibly set up an informal meeting.
The third thing to do is filing a formal grievance of your property valuation with the town between June 1 and June 15. According to town officials, the formal grievance paperwork for 2021 has not yet been posted on the website.
