Bronx Man Accused Of Felony DWI On Thruway
Police said the man was also driving without a license.
GREENBURGH, NY — A Bronx man was accused after being stopped on the Thruway of driving while drunk and without a license. State police said John Gonzalez, 36, of the Bronx, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
Police said Gonzalez was stopped around 9:25 p.m. Thursday on I-87 in the Town of Greenburgh.
He was found to be intoxicated and had a suspended license, police said.

Gonzalez was arrested and taken to the Tarrytown barracks where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.10 percent.
Additionally, police said he had a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years and, as a result, was charged with felony DWI.

Gonzalez was released to a sober third party and issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Greenburgh Court Jan. 15.
