Chance Of Snow For Tarrytown's First Work Week In 2019

TARRYTOWN, NY — Our first, short work week of 2019 will bring mostly sunny skies and seasonably cold temperatures. Then snow, then rain.

The blustery wind that ushered in the New Year will subside Tuesday night.

Here's what the National Weather Service says for northern Westchester:

• Tuesday night-Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 20s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph, diminishing to 5 to 10 mph after midnight.
• Wednesday-Sunny. Much cooler with highs in the mid 30s. North winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming east in the afternoon.
• Wednesday Night-Partly cloudy with a slight chance of snow in the evening, then cloudy with a chance of snow after midnight. Lows in the upper 20s. Southeast winds around 5 mph. Chance of snow 30 percent.
• Thursday-Mostly cloudy in the morning, then clearing. A slight chance of snow in the morning. A slight chance of rain. Highs in the lower 40s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming northwest 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation 20 percent.
• Thursday Night-Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 20s.
• Friday-Sunny. Highs in the lower 40s.
• Friday Night-Mostly clear in the evening, then mostly cloudy with a chance of rain after midnight. Lows in the mid 30s. Chance of rain 40 percent.
