Elmsford Man Accused Of Installing Illegal Surveillance Camera

Authorities said he put the device in the bathroom of his family's vacation home in Otsego County.

ELMSFORD, NY — A Westchester man pleaded not guilty to an installing illegal surveillance camera in his upstate vacation home. Andrew Amodeo of Elmsford was charged with eight counts of second-degree unlawful surveillance, felonies Monday in Otsego County Court.

Amodeo was accused of putting a hidden camera in the home's bathroom in the Town of Otsego, the Daily Star reported.

A member of the family found the device in January and reported it to the Otsego County Sheriff's Department.

Amodeo's next court appearance is set for Oct. 19 via Skype.
