These days, if you cannot get to the parade, the parade will come to you!
That is exactly what happened on Tuesday, May 12, when teachers and staff from the Elmsford Union Free School District hosted a Staff Car Parade. The event was planned to enable teachers to share a “hello” with their students and let them know that they miss them in a safe manner - all while having some fun.
Gathering in the Alexander Hamilton High School parking lot, staff drove up with decorated cars, music playing, cars honking and drivers and passengers wearing masks. They quickly organized and soon drove out of the lot, led by the Elmsford Police Department.

The weather was nearly perfect, allowing residents to step outside and share signs, waves and smiles as the parade drove past.
The parade traversed more than 100 roads throughout the village.
