Field of Flags to Honor Veterans during Memorial Day Week

Fundraiser for local Young Marines

River Towns Young Marines are hosting a Field of Flags fundraiser in honor of our deceased Veterans for Memorial Day week. The Young Marines and recruits are selling flags in memory of veterans, which will be placed for Memorial Day week along the Fallen Memorial Walkway located in Valhalla at the Kensico Dam Plaza.

"Our Young Marines and recruits are excited to take part in this activity to honor the memory of our veterans," shared Unit Commander Mr. Lucian “Lu” Caldara (USMC Ret). "Funds raised from our Field of Flags will support our youth participation for encampments and other Young Marine activities." A donation of $10 is asked for a Flag and the name of the veteran being honored will be labeled on the flag. To donate for a Veteran’s flag, please mail a check to the River Towns Young Marines at P.O. Box 2006, Ossining, New York 10562.
