Flash Flood Warning Issued For Hudson Valley
More than an inch of rain has fallen already in parts of the region. Route 9W is closed in Newburgh.
A flash flood warning has replaced the advisory issued by the National Weather Service due to heavy rain across northern Westchester County, Rockland County and southern Orange County in the Hudson Valley.
Heavy rain has flooded Route 9W, closing all lanes at the Beacon-Newburgh Bridge.

Some locations that could experience flooding include White Plains, West Milford, Ossining, Peekskill, Ramsey, Ringwood, Haverstraw, Tarrytown, Mount Kisco, Suffern, Monroe, Nyack,
Warwick, Sloatsburg and Nanuet.
Be careful, the NWS reminded residents. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Turn around, don`t drown when you encounter flooded roads.
