Greenburgh Ousts School Trustee Day Before Term Ends

Terry Williams lost his bid for re-election in May.

GREENBURGH, NY — A longtime trustee of the Greenburgh school board was removed from office just one day before his tenure would have ended.

Five board members voted Tuesday to remove Terry Williams, with Williams voting against removal, the Journal News reported. Only Trustee David Warner abstained.

Williams denied doing anything illegal and told the Journal News that what the board did was a "vendetta."

He lost a bid for re-election in May, and the end of his term in office was coming up.

Williams was accused of revealing executive communication, bullying other board members and undermining a superintendent search.
