Greenburgh Prepares For Tropical Storm Isaias
The supervisor said he expects a quick-moving storm.

GREENBURGH, NY — The town of Greenburgh is preparing for the arrival of what is now Tropical Storm Isaias. Supervisor Paul Feiner said he has spoken with Police Chief Brian Ryan who said that emergency operations will be staffed to deal with the any storm-related problems.
"We expect a quick-moving storm," Feiner said.
Greenburgh and the rest of the lower Hudson Valley is under a tropical storm warning for the next 48 hours or so. Widespread heavy rainfall can be expected, with estimates in the 2- to 6-inch range. There will also be dangerous winds that could damage roofing and sidings and bring down trees and power lines.

Feiner said the commissioner of public works advised him that they have prepared for possilbe flooding by inspecting drains.

Feiner said that, if you live in an area that is prone to flooding, you should move your cars to higher elevated levels.
