Happy Rockefeller, Wife of Former Gov. Nelson Rockefeller, Dies at 88
A breast cancer survivor, Happy Rockefeller was among other famous women to help raise awareness of mastectomies after she had two.

Happy Rockefeller passed away at her home in Tarrytown Tuesday, following a brief illness, according to The New York Times. The widow of former New York Gov. Nelson Rockefeller, she was 88.
She married Nelson Rockefeller in 1963, and at the time with both having been divorced, the union was considered scandalous and may have contributed to Nelson missing out on the Republican nomination to run for President. He was later named Vice President by Gerald R. Ford following Watergate.
