Hartsdale Man Accused Of Stealing Food From McDonald's

Police said the man assaulted two of the employees.

GREENBURGH, NY — Greenburgh police accused a Hartsdale man of stealing food from a McDonald's.

On Sunday, officers were called to the McDonald's restaurant at 407 North Central Ave. in Hartsdale for a report of a man stealing food from behind the counter.

Police said the man assaulted two of the restaurant's employees and fled from the establishment. No weapon was used during the incident.

An investigation resulted in the arrest of Cornelius Mantle, 20, of Hartsdale.

He was charged with second-degree robbery, a felony, and two counts of third-degree assault, misdemeanors.

Mantle was arraigned in the Greenburgh Town Court and released.
