Hate Group Posts Offensive Stickers In Sleepy Hollow

"We need to make it clear that it is unwelcome here," the mayor said.

SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY — Stickers from a white nationalist hate group put on public signs in Sleepy Hollow are being investigated by police in the village.

Mayor Ken Wray said the stickers were brought to the attention of village officials this past weekend, even though he said some of them were posted in mid-November.

"I am extremely disturbed by the Patriot Front affront that has reared an ugly and unwelcome head in our village," he said in an email to the community.

Wray said he was gratified that a number of people in Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow spoke up about the stickers.

He said he believes the organization is a small splinter group and its modus operandi is slapping stickers on public property in an effort to increase visibility.
