Tarrytown, NY: On December 18, DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown hosted a special client holiday luncheon. Guests were welcomed in the cozy lobby with a roaring fireplace and elegant holiday décor followed by a decadent luncheon prepared by the hotel’s top chefs. On the way to the luncheon, puppies, compliments of the SPCA Briarcliff, greeted clients in hopes that someone loves them enough to take them home for a holiday vacation. This all-expense paid vacation is for dogs and cats that would otherwise spend Christmas in a cold shelter. Guests had the opportunity to fill out greeting cards for our Military in the James J. Peters VA Hospital.
A festively wrapped box will provided guests the opportunity to donate business attire to Dress for Success, an organization that accepts gently used clothing in order to foster an economic independence in working women.
The holiday décor inside the luncheon had significance by repurposing to local nonprofits after the party. Bedding quilts embellished the tables in lieu of tablecloths and were later cleaned and donated to the local shelter. Snowflakes made out of Yoobi pencils dangled from the ceiling and then sent to a local school for children to use. A garland of mittens adorned the stone fireplace; they will later find a home with children in need. Hour Children, a nonprofit organization that hosts birthday parties for children of incarcerated mothers, will be the recipient of any excess event materials.
