Judges Reject Edgemont Incorporation

GREENBURGH, NY — The drive to turn Edgemont into the town of Greenburgh's seventh village suffered another defeat Thursday when a four-judge panel in the state Supreme Court's Appellate Division rejected a second petition to hold a referendum.

The judges unanimously found the petition for incorporation did not include an acceptable boundary for the village, the Journal News reported.

The town argued — and the judges agreed — that submitted Greenville Fire District boundaries were in dispute.
