June events at the Hudson Valley Writers Center
Virtual events, readings and classes this June!

The Hudson Valley Writers Center is thrilled to present a full month of June programming.
We have many one-day intensive courses across several genres, as well as multi-week classes in fiction, screenwriting, prose revision, and poetry. There is surely something for everyone!
Our pay-what-you-can reading series features numerous acclaimed authors:

-- One June 2 at 7pm, enjoy a poetry reading from Tiana Clark, Diane Seuss, and Page Hill Starzinger, followed by a Q&A with the audience
-- On June 6 at 4pm, we are pleased to present Voices of Poetry with Nicole Callihan, Tina Cane, Elizabeth T. Gray, Jr., and Michael Klein. Music during the event provided by violinist/composer Concetta Abbate.

-- On June 17 at 2pm, we are thrilled to partner with The Chelsea at Greenburgh for an afternoon of whimsy and humor with poet Suzanne Cleary.
-- On June 23 at 7pm, join us for an evening of award-winning new poetry from Sumita Chakraborty, Cortney Lamar Charleston, & Carey Salerno. A lively Q&A will follow.
-- On June 30 at 7pm, Gretchen Primack (Kind, Lantern Publishing & Media, 2021) and Tim Seibles (National Book Award finalist and former Poet Laureate of Virginia) will read from their most recent collections. They will also discuss Kind by Primack for which Seibles has written the forward.
Until we finalize plans to safely reopen our center in person, we offer robust virtual programming in many genres designed to inspire you, our creative community.
