Metro-North Resumes Local Stops As Track Repairs Continue
The problem started due to a mudslide on the tracks from a nearby structure fire.

UPDATE, 8 p.m. — Southbound local service has resumed on the Hudson Line near a mudslide subsequent to a house fire.
Hudson Line customers southbound service at Riverdale, Ludlow, Glenwood and Greystone has resumed, customers should anticipate delays of 10 to 15 minutes. We appreciate your patience as we continue to repair our right-of-way.

As Metro-North Railroad crews continue working around the clock to clean up debris on the Hudson Line, following a mudslide that took overnight between the Glenwood and Greystone stations, service has been restored on a second of the four tracks.
The mudslide followed Yonkers Fire Department efforts to extinguish a significant fire in a residential neighborhood above the tracks.

Efforts are continuing to reopen a third track, officials said. The railroad is advising customers of train cancellations and combinations and the possibility for delays. Service details follow.
Northbound
In the northbound direction, five of the 35 scheduled evening rush hour trains will be combined with trains that depart minutes later.
The 3:52 p.m. train to Greystone is not operating. To accommodate passengers, the 4:08 p.m. train to Croton-Harmon will make all local stops to Greystone.
The 4:36 p.m. train to Croton-Harmon will not operate. To accommodate its passengers, the 4:52 p.m. train to Croton-Harmon will add stops at Yonkers, Hastings-on-Hudson, Dobbs Ferry, Ardsley-on-Hudson, and Irvington.
The 5:20 p.m. train to Croton-Harmon will not operate. To accommodate its customers, the 5:23 p.m. local train to Greystone will be extended, making all stops from Hastings-on-Hudson to Croton-Harmon.
The 5:40 p.m. train to Croton-Harmon will not operate. To accommodate its customers the 5:43 p.m. local train to Greystone will be extended, making all stops from Hastings-on-Hudson to Croton-Harmon.
The 6:12 p.m. express train to Poughkeepsie will not operate. Customers are encouraged to use the 6:15 p.m. express train to Poughkeepsie.
Southbound
In the reverse-peak direction, three local trains from Croton-Harmon will not operate. Two express trains from Poughkeepsie will terminate at Croton-Harmon for a connection to continuing service. Southbound local trains will not make stops at Greystone, Glenwood, Ludlow and Riverdale. Customers seeking to travel to those stations will be able to ride to Yonkers or Spuyten Duyvil to board a northbound train making those stops. Customers seeking to board southbound trains at those stations should board a northbound train for service to Hastings-on-Hudson for a connecting southbound train.
The 4:24 p.m. local train from Croton-Harmon will not operate. Customers are encouraged to consider the 4:58 p.m. local train from Croton-Harmon as an alternative. Both trains make all local stops to Grand Central.
The 4:33 p.m. and 5:33 p.m. trains from Poughkeepsie will terminate at Croton-Harmon for connecting service to Grand Central.
The 5:30 p.m. local train from Croton-Harmon will not operate. Customers are encouraged to consider the 6:01 p.m. local train from Croton-Harmon as an alternative. Both trains make all local stops to Grand Central.
The 6:31 p.m. semi-express train from Croton-Harmon will not operate. Customers are encouraged to consider the 6:58 p.m. local train from Croton-Harmon as an alternative. This train makes all local stops to Grand Central.

The above communications channels can be accessed while at home or on the go. For customers who are located at stations, Metro-North will post the latest service updates on digital signs at station platforms and will make audio announcements over public address systems, and on-board announcements made by train crews.
For those who prefer the telephone, information is available from the Metro-North’s Customer Service Center by calling 511, the New York State Travel Information Line, and saying: “Metro-North Railroad.” For customers calling from Connecticut, the number is: 877-690-5114. Those who are deaf or hard of hearing can use their preferred service provider for the free 711 relay to reach Metro-North at 511.
UPDATE, 3:15 p.m — The 2:43 train on the Hudson Line is operating 20-25 minutes late due to equipment issues at Grand Central Terminal, Metro-North officials said.

Hudson Line service continues to experience delays of up to 60-90 minutes due to flooding on the tracks resulting from an earlier structure fire near Greystone Station. After 10 a.m., Metro-North said northbound service will resume at Greystone and Glenwood. Additionally, we will be providing hourly service until further notice.
Customers should anticipate crowded conditions and listen for announcements at your station.
UPDATE, 9:15 a.m. Thursday, June 20:
Metro-North Railroad is now saying there are up to 60-minute delays on the Hudson Line Thursday morning. The railroad is still saying that, until further notice, there is no northbound service out of Greystone or Glenwood.
Customers wishing to travel north should go to Yonkers Station for northbound service. Hudson Line tickets will be cross-honored at Harlem and New Haven Line stations. Customers should expect crowded conditions.
Metro-North Railroad said that Hudson Line customers should anticipate major delays Thursday morning. There could be up to 45 minutes in both directions due to flooding on the tracks resulting from a structure fire near Greystone Station.
Until further notice, the railroad said, there is no northbound service out of Greystone or Glenwood.
Customers wishing to travel north should go to Yonkers Station for northbound service.
Metro-North said customers should listen for announcements at their station.
