Police Investigating Pedestrian Hit By Car In Hudson Valley
The driver of the car kept going after striking the man, but police located him later.
GREENBURGH, NY — Police are investigating another pedestrian hit by a car in Greenburgh. Shortly before 8 a.m. Saturday, a man was found lying in the roadway on East Hartsdale Avenue between North Central Avenue and Wilson Street.
Police said a 70-year-old man was unconscious and bleeding from the head.
He was treated by Greenburgh EMS and taken to Westchester Medical Center where was admitted.

Detectives found video evidence that shows the man had been walking on the sidewalk south on Central Avenue and then turned onto East Hartsdale Avenue. He went past the crosswalk walking east on the sidewalk when he decided to cross East Hartsdale from north to south.
East Hartsdale has two westbound lanes, one of which is a dedicated left turn lane, and one eastbound lane.

The man was in the left turn lane approaching the center point of the road when when he was hit by a vehicle going east on East Hartsdale.
The vehicle continued without stopping.
Police located the car, which was a 2018 Honda CRV, that was being driven by an 87-year-old Hartsdale man. He was alone in the car and was not injured.
The investigation is ongoing and detectives are asking anyone who may have seen the incident to call 914-989-1725.
