Rain, Drizzle In Forecast: Hudson Valley Workweek Weather

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Keep the umbrella handy if you are out and about this week in the Hudson Valley, especially if you are taking advantage of early voting.

Monday will see light rain and drizzle throughout the day around the region.

"This will hold temperatures down in the 40s and low 50s," Hudson Valley Weather said. "A rather chilly and raw day by most standards."

The Hudson Valley can expect chances of rain through the remainder of the week, but the sun will return for the weekend, the National Weather Service is predicting.

Here is the forecast for the work week from the National Weather Service for northern Westchester:

• Monday: Light rain likely with areas of drizzle before noon, then areas of drizzle with a chance of light rain after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 55. East wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
• Monday Night: A slight chance of drizzle or light rain before midnight, then a slight chance of light rain between midnight and 3am. Patchy fog before midnight. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a steady temperature around 53. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
• Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 55. North wind 5 to 7 mph.
• Tuesday Night: A 20 percent chance of light rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Light north wind.
• Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 55. Calm wind becoming southwest around 6 mph in the afternoon.
• Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 44.
• Thursday: Rain likely. Partly sunny, with a high near 57. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
• Thursday Night: Rain likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
• Friday: A 50 percent chance of rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 50.
• Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of rain before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 32.
