Single-family homes in Westchester, Rockland and Putnam are selling at a quicker pace now than they were last year, according to a new report released by the Hudson Gateway Association of Relators.
Real estate data shows all three counties saw a boost in second-quarter 2013 sales when compared to second-quarter 2012 sales. The Hudson Gateway group—a collection of realtors in the tri-county region, and Orange County—collected and culled the data.
The second-quarter breakdown:
Westchester:
- 1,151 single-family houses sold in 2012
- 1,425 sold in 2013
- 23.8 percent increase
Rockland:
- 292 single-family houses sold in 2012
- 313 sold in 2013
- 7.2 percent increase
Putnam:
- 160 single-family houses sold in 2012
- 177 sold in 2013
- 10.6 percent increase
