Rotary Rubber Duck Derby Day, Ducks Are Ready For Adoption Now

The 14th Annual Rotary Club Duck Derby is fast aproaching. It's already time to choose the fastest looking racer to sponsor.

TARRYTOWN, NY — The rubber duckies will be racing again at Patriots Park in Tarrytown and it's time to sponsor a squeaky racer.

The 14th Annual Rotary Club Duck Derby will be held on June 27. The fundraiser is being put on in conjunction with the YMCA's Healthy Kids Day campaign. Proceeds from the race will be used to benefit the Tarrytown Rotary Club's Scholarship and Community Grants Fund.

The fan favorite day of races will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m at Patriots Park in Tarrytown. Although the rubber ducky day at the races is a long way off, event organizers say now is the time to sponsor a squeaky floating champion.

The outdoor event will follow CDC and Westchester County Department of Health coronavirus safety guidelines. To make sure both vaccinated and unvaccinated rubber ducky racing fans will be able to enjoy the competitions, the races of the 14th Annual Duck Derby will be live-streamed on the Rotary Club Facebook page.

Ducks can be adopted for $10 each. A "six-quack" of bathtub toy racers is $50 and a whole tub full of ducks can be adopted for $100. The duck "adoption forms" can be found here.
