Salvatore DiCioccio Sr., 85, U.S. Navy Veteran
DiCioccio worked for Ciba-Geigy in Ardsley for many years before his retirement in 1993.

Salvatore “Sammy” DiCioccio Sr. of Tarrytown died Jan. 20, 2015, he was 85.
He was born Oct. 20, 1929 in Ossining to Luigi & Francesca (Santangelo) DiCioccio. Sam served in the US Navy after WWII. He worked for Ciba-Geigy in Ardsley for many years before his retirement in 1993.

He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 30 and was an avid bowler, participating in many leagues throughout the years. He loved the time he spent with his grandchildren and caring for his garden.
Sam is survived by his sons Sal (Caroline) of Yorktown, Louis (Judy) of Long Beach, CA, a daughter, Tina Marie Casarella (John) of North Haven, CT, a sister Rose DiCioccio of Peekskill, and his grandchildren Daniel & Joseph Casarella, and Nicholas & Breanna DiCioccio. He was predeceased by his wife Jean A. (Santagate) and two sisters, Mary Vitale and Louise Funaro.

He will be reposing Fri. 2-5 pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc., 32 State Street, Ossining. Mass of Christian Burial Sat. 10am at St. Ann’s Church, burial Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the NYS Veterans Home in Montrose appreciated.
