Severe Thunderstorms Possible For Parts Of Hudson Valley
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch Friday.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Gusty winds and heavy rains could affect parts of the Hudson Valley Friday.
The National Weather Service said a severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Rockland Westchester counties in effect until 8 p.m. Friday.
The forecast for southern Westchester calls for showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 4 p.m.

Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
New rainfall amounts could be up to a half an inch, the weather service said.
