Sleepy Hollow Cancels Halloween Event Due To Weather

SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY — The expected rain on Thursday is playing havoc with plans for Halloween. Sleepy Hollow Recreation Superintendent Matt Arone said the Kid's Halloween Parade will not take place because of the inclement weather in the forecast.

In an email from the village, Arone said bags of candy will be handed out to all kids from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the fire house, which is located at 28 Beekman Avenue.

The "Truck of Treat" event scheduled from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday is still scheduled to occur.
