‘Sleepy Hollow’ Skips Westchester, Films in North Carolina

Though the setting for the upcoming FOX series “Sleepy Hollow” takes place in Westchester, specifically mentioning the villages of Sleepy Hollow and Dobbs Ferry, the television show’s producers chose a different state for the shows main filming location.

The Salisbury Post reports that Wilmington, North Carolina was chosen "to save money" and, “for logistical reasons, not because some Salisbury business owners complained that they lost money during filming of the pilot in March.”

The series will create about 150 full-time jobs in North Carolina, and an unknown amount of additional employment. SalisburyPost.com said that the script for "Sleepy Hollow" is not yet complete.
