Tarrytown To Close Main Street 2 Days A Week For Outdoor Dining

The closure will be two days a week through and including Labor Day weekend — if the weather cooperates.

TARRYTOWN, NY — More opportunities for outdoor dining will be available in Tarrytown. A Facebook post by Village Administrator Richard Slingerland said that businesses will be allowed to use Main Street from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays through Labor Day, as well as the Labor Day weekend itself.

The street will close from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. to allow restaurants to put out tables and businesses to put out displays and for clean up afterward.

  • Sept. 4, 5, 6 and 7

Slingerland said that the closing of Main Street is weather-dependent. In the event of a forecast of bad weather, the street closure will be canceled.
