Tarrytown's W@tercooler Launches New Workspace in Yonkers

Shared workspace W@tercooler, which opened its first site in Tarrytown in 2011, is planning to open a second location in Yonkers, officials announced this week.

The new location will be in the former Otis Elevator building on Wells Avenue, and it will be more than three-times the size of the Tarrytown site, featuring 7,500 square feet of "collaborative space for freelancers to work, learn and gather."

With the additional space, the Yonkers site will be able to more desks, two conference rooms and a 40-seat classroom among other amenities.

Since opening the first W@tercooler in Tarrytown, New York, just over three years ago, we’ve envisioned the day we could open a second larger space in Westchester. We are super excited to let you know that we have found a hip, light-filled location conveniently located at the Yonkers waterfront within the iPark development in the former Otis Elevator building. 

We’ll be playing a significant role in the revitalization of Yonkers – You can too!

W@tercooler Tarrytown has become a true hub in our community. With 65 current members (plus hundreds of a la cart users) and over 100 learning and gathering opportunities per year, our 1600 square foot space offers inspiration, focus, and a creative outlet for many.

Our new location will be 7500 square feet, providing more room for collaborative working, private desks and offices, tons of workshops, and a wide variety of cultural & social events!  We’ll also have two conference rooms, a 40-person classroom space, full kitchen & lounge, soft seating areas for impromptu meetings, lots of gallery space and a snazzy roof deck with spectacular views of the Hudson River.

We’re ready to make this happen, but we still need to raise additional funds for renovations, furnishings, technology and infrastructure — while also jump-starting our Yonkers community — so we’re pre-selling some of our Work, Learn, and Gather memberships and plans.
