Where to Find Santa in the Tarrytown-Sleepy Hollow Region
Here is a list to check twice on where the man in red will be.
We all know that Santa Claus is busy at the North Pole getting all those last-minute gifts made. But he is a magical as well as a jolly old elf, so he is able to make appearances all over the region at the same time!
Here are some good places to meet up with Santa Claus this season.
Pleasantville: Santa Claus will be at the gazebo in Memorial Park this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for pictures on top of a 1917 Model T fire engine! Photos, taken by acclaimed photographer Donna Mueller, will be free and available online afterwards. There will also be a Pokemon GO lure party so that collectors can add to their cache.

Adventure to Santa: Ridge Hill in Yonkers is offering an adventure to see Santa with Po and friends from the Kung Fu Panda movies. Blast off on a rocket-powered cart ride to the North Pole, enjoy a private meet and greet with Santa, and more. For more information and to make reservations, click here.
Treelighting with Santa in Ossining: Santa and his elves will visit the Ossining Chamber of Commerce’s Tree Lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 2. The event is in Market Square.

Santa in Peekskill: Santa makes a return appearance at the Paramount Hudson Valley for “Santa Makes Me Merry” and the Third Annual Toy Give-A-Way on Saturday, December 10, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., sponsored by the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce. There is free admission, complimentary refreshments, and toys (while supplies last, one toy per child, no exchanges). Children can meet Santa and watch holiday cartoons on the Paramount's big screen.
Holiday on the Lake with Santa in Carmel: The Hamlet of Carmel Civic Association will hold its 18th annual celebration on Dec. 1. There will be events all day culminating in the Parade of Lights with 50 floats traveling along Route 52 at 7 p.m. Santa will be at the Reed Library at 1 p.m. to read to children. At 7:45 p.m. the 75 Christmas trees along Lake Gleneida will be lit.
Light Parade with Santa in Wappingers: Santa will be part of the spectacular Annual Holiday Light Parade in Wappingers Falls on Saturday. The parade of floats, bikes, boats, dogs, and everything else starts at 6L30 p.m. at Elm Street. Santa will arrive in Mesier park by 7 p.m. to light the tree.
Sinterklaas: Sinterklaas Send-Off is in Kingston on Saturday starting at 10:30 a.m. with many events during the day that the Dutch version of Santa Claus. The day culminates with a parade of children from the Arts Society of Kingston to the Runout to see Sinterklaas off on his boat bound for Holland. Events, including workshops, crafts, food, and more, are all over Kingston.
At the malls:
- The Westchester in White Plains at Center Court on Retail 1. Breakfast with Santa is at 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 3.
- The Jefferson Valley Mall in Jefferson Valley in the Center Court: On Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Santa will be available for private photo sessions for children with special needs and their families.
- The Galleria in White Plains: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily on Fashion Level 2, across from H&M.
- Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers.
- The Poughkeepsie Galleria, in Center Court.
- The Shops at Nanuet, in the indoor area between Regal Cinemas and Macy’s.
