Woman Pulled From Hudson River In Tarrytown [VIDEO]
Three first responders eventually had to get into the river in order to rescue the woman.
TARRYTOWN, NY — A woman was pulled from the Hudson River Wednesday by first responders from Tarrytown.
Tarrytown police said, around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, the department received an emergency call about someone jumping into the Hudson River in the area of the River Walk.
Tarrytown police, ambulance and fire department personnel were sent to the area and found a woman about 20 feet from the shoreline bulkhead struggling in the water.

Using a water rescue disk, officers were able to pull the woman closer to the shoreline.
Several attempts were made trying to get her out of the water that were unsuccessful.

Tarrytown Police Sergeants Chris Caoili and Joseph Barosa got into the river along with Tarrytown Firefighter Scott Weaver Jr.
Working together, they were able to get the woman into a harness and she was successfully removed from the water.
The woman, who was not identified, was taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment. The police officers who were in the river were taken to Phelps Hospital Northwell Health for evaluation.
The Tarrytown Police Department thanked the following agencies: Tarrytown Fire Department, Tarrytown Ambulance Corps, Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force, Greenburgh ALS and the Westchester County Police Marine Unit.
